Torch Technologies is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support Air Vehicle team within the System Program Office (SPO

As a Junior Mechanical Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Evaluates contractor proposals for executable plans for major refurbishment and conversion of B-52 pylons and rotary launchers in support of new missile program. 

  • Manages and technically evaluates changes to design and production documentation. 

  • Analyzes and inspects components for structural integrity and corrosion. 

  • Reviews and provides recommended changes to drawing packages. 

  • Reviews and evaluates mechanically-oriented program and production process documentation and quality standards. 

  • Evaluates production Validation and Verification and test plans. 

  • Recommends suitable substitutions for obsolete parts and evaluate deviations and variations to approved documentation

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship

  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, aerospace, systems engineering, or equivalent discipline.

  • Up to 3 years' relevant experience.

  • Active interim Secret security clearance is required at hire.

Preferred Skills:

  • Design or manufacturing experience

  • TS/SC at hire preferred.

  • System and subsystem qualification analysis and test experience is desired.

  • Thermal engineering, Propulsion experience a plus.

  • Program office experience is also desired.

Schedule: 40 Hrs/week
