Overall Objective of the Role
We are looking for a Junior IT Support Engineer to be part of the IT team and to handle various aspects of the company IT (e.g. Network, Servers, cloud infrastructures, Security systems).
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior IT professional passionate about technology and looking to develop their career in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure maintenance and support for all IT systems, networks, and communications.
- Maintain, support, configure, and administer the company’s servers, equipment, and IT networks.
- Develop and implement backup/restoration procedures for servers, databases, and computers.
- Install and maintain routers, switches, printers, appliances (Checkpoint, Juniper SSL-VPN, BlueCoat), computers, and servers running on various platforms (Windows, Linux, Solaris).
- Apply group procedures to ensure network security (firewalls, VPN, etc.) and data security.
- Evaluate, select, and implement the best software and hardware solutions required for various systems, processes, and actions.
- Interconnect networks and provide access to the global Internet.
- Provide IT support to all company employees.
- Collaborate and coordinate with the IT departments of partners.
- Prepare reports related to IT activities and any specific reports requested by company management.
- Support in the procurement of IT equipment and accessories.
- Periodically inventory IT equipment and accessories.
- Monitor the functioning of communication equipment to maintain the network operating environment within normal parameters.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in IT support.
- Knowledge in network and server administration and configuration.
- Problem-solving and IT incident management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of IT security and data protection.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with end-users.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Fluent verbal and written English skills.
- Availability for full-time work on-site.
