What You’ll Do:
As a Jr. IT Operations Engineer at SureCost, you will be essential in ensuring our employees have the technical support they need to perform their roles effectively. From their first day to their last, you will play a significant role in providing a positive employee experience and ensuring our staff have the quality technical support they need to do their jobs to the fullest. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming requests and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Quickly respond to and manage IT incidents to minimize downtime and disruption.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot IT issues, finding effective solutions to prevent future occurrences.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on using company systems and software effectively.
- Track support requests and generate regular reports on key support metrics and performance indicators.
- Manage user access controls and permissions in accordance with company policies and security protocols.
- Maintain detailed documentation of support requests, resolutions, and best practices.
- Create clear and concise documentation for on/offboarding procedures.
- Work closely with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and support.
- Continuously seek ways to improve support processes and enhance the overall efficiency of the IT support function.
What You’ll Need:
- Knowledge of and previous experience using Help Desk ticketing systems
- 2+ years of experience in IT Support / Help Desk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with end-users and team members
- Ability to explain technical issues in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical users
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively train and support new employees

The estimated base salary range for this role is $55-65k/year. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all of these factors. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
