Job Summary
Group Internal Audit represents the organization’s third line of defense, providing independent and objective assurance to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and Executive Management. Through a risk-based approach, the function evaluates the effectiveness of risk management, governance, and internal control processes across the organization.
Internal audits are conducted regularly across all business areas and organizational levels within the Viridien Group.
During engagement planning, internal auditors assess the activity’s objectives and related strategies, identify significant risks, evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of governance and control frameworks, and highlight opportunities for improvement. Independence and professional judgment are essential to establish a robust risk-based audit approach and allocate appropriate resources.
About the Team
As Internal Audit intern, you will join a team of four professionals located in Massy and Rotterdam. You will join the Internal Audit team and actively contribute to a variety of audit assignments. Working alongside colleagues with diverse backgrounds, you will be involved in all stages of the audit process.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in Internal Audit Engagements (Operational, Compliance, and Entity Reviews)
- Contribute to the assessment of the effectiveness of the internal control framework.
- Perform audit testing and analyze existing processes and controls.
- Document audit work in accordance with Group methodologies and standards.
- Identify areas for improvement and provide relevant, practical recommendations.
- Contribute to the preparation of audit reports and the presentation of findings to audited management teams.
- Assess the design and operational effectiveness of key controls in line with the Group's control framework.
Contribute to Internal Audit Department Activities
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives and projects aimed at enhancing the Internal Audit function (quality, methodology, tools, etc.).
- Provide support for the team's day-to-day activities.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Master’s degree or Business School program, with a specialization in Finance, Auditing, or Accounting.
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting; prior experience in internal auditing or finance would be an asset.
- Professional proficiency in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Good command of Microsoft Office applications.
