Role Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Finance Specialist to support our financial operations. This remote position is vital to the maintenance and improvement of our internal financial processes, offering the opportunity to work closely with the Finance Director and collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to grow in a dynamic digital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Contribute to the development of cash flow forecasts for individual businesses and consolidated reports.
- Support the review and analysis of departmental and employee profitability.
- Assist in creating project-based and client-based profitability reports.
- Analyze personal and corporate expenditures and generate related reports.
- Support daily financial operations, including invoicing and month-end closings.
- Monitor and follow up on accounts payables and receivables.
- Review and verify company credit card expenses.
- Evaluate costs related to company tools and ensure alignment with budget constraints.
- Track and report on various business-related expenses.
- Participate in budgeting processes and financial planning.
- Complete other finance-related ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Fluent English.
- Previous experience or education in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in working with spreadsheets and financial tools.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in remote team settings.
- Comfortable using platforms like Slack for daily communication.
- Ability to work independently while following internal processes and controls.
