Job Description:
As a Senior Consultant supporting our Federal government client, you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers.
The successful candidate will have the ability to:
- Lead engagement efforts, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with program leadership to develop and implement engagement strategies, operational processes, and service level agreements to support strategic priorities and goals.
- Develop agendas, briefing materials, and meeting summaries for governance boards, regional meetings, and strategic planning sessions, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
- Record meeting notes, compile post-meeting summaries, and track follow-up on action items with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and maintain a list of conferences, symposiums, and opportunities for presenting innovation project outcomes.
- Assist in preparing abstracts, award submissions, and presentation materials.
- Create and maintain content for various agreements, research collaborations, fellowship programs and operational procedures to facilitate stakeholder engagement.
- Serves as a key facilitator between multiple teams to achieve objectives and
- complex efforts.
- Lead the implementation of process improvement methodologies and tools in learning management and course development projects.
- Apply expertise in industry best practices, business process transformation, and lean management to lead key initiatives.
- Utilize specialized knowledge to tackle complex assignments and drive significant outcomes.
- Serve as an advisor, providing strategic guidance and direct interaction with clients.
- Supervise and mentor junior consultants and staff, directing their activities when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, political science, communications, or related discipline
- 6+ years of relevant, professional experience
- Strong understanding of industry best practices, business process transformation, and lean management methodologies.
- Curious and open-minded approach to work
- Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
- Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Human-Centered Design/Design Thinking, employee experience, customer experience, and/or service design.
- Proven experience in managing and leading teams, including supervising and mentoring junior staff.
- Experience consulting or working for the Federal government.
Job Location and Travel Expectations:
- This position is remote. Some travel (25%) is anticipated.
- Some meetings will be conducted on-site with customers in Washington, D.C.
