The Role
The Junior Product Designer will support the creation of user-friendly digital products by assisting with research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing, working closely with senior designers, PMs, and developers to bring functional and intuitive designs to life, requiring skills in design software like Figma, strong communication, and a passion for solving user problems. You'll be an integral part of the product lifecycle, taking designs from concept to launch, advocating for the user, and learning to build effective, engaging experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- User Research: Help conduct user interviews, surveys, and analyze data to understand needs.
- Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web/mobile.
- Work with product managers, engineers, and other designers in an Agile environment.
- Participate in usability testing and refine designs based on feedback.
- Develop design documentation like user journey maps, style guides, and visual assets
- Breakdown requirements into actionable items.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch), understanding of UX/UI principles, prototyping
- User interface design for mobile or web interfaces.
- Experience with data visualization data bases preferred
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, empathy, and adaptability.
- A portfolio showcasing design projects, preferably some experience with digital products.
- A degree in design or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
