We are looking for a Junior Design Engineer – Circuit to support the verification and analysis of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits. The role involves contributing to various small-scale design and verification tasks across product lines such as Logic Libraries, IO Libraries, PHYs, Memory, PMICs, and Converters. You will work closely with senior engineers to develop custom and library cells, create testbenches, and support process automation and quality checks. This role is ideal for early-career engineers looking to gain solid experience in IC design and circuit verification in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform circuit analysis and verification of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits based on project needs.
- Design and develop library cells and custom cells based on customer specifications.
- Create testbenches and set up simulations for circuit characterization and validation.
- Contribute to automation initiatives for design processes and workflows.
- Support quality assurance by reviewing design outputs and verifying compliance with design standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Layout, Characterization, Design Automation, etc.) to resolve issues and ensure project alignment.
- Assist in managing tasks or small projects, including client coordination when necessary.
- Participate in planning and completing action items as part of the broader project or team goals.
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Applied Physics
- Completed coursework in Microelectronics or VLSI Design
- Minimum of 1 year experience in digital, analog, or mixed-signal circuit design or verification
- Familiarity with CMOS transistor behavior and logic/sequential circuits
- Experience in circuit verification tools such as HSpice, FineSim, XA, Spectre, etc.
- Proficiency in simulation languages like SPICE
- Understanding of testbench development and characterization flow
- Working knowledge of both Windows and UNIX/Linux environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Proactive in learning and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Able to manage tasks and coordinate with team leads or unit heads
- Knowledge of sigma analysis, fault analysis, optimization, or other advanced verification techniques
- Familiarity with ASIC/Digital Design Flow and IP design methodologies
- Basic scripting knowledge (Shell, Tcl, Perl)
- Experience in schematic/layout editors and waveform viewers
