We are seeking a Junior Data Analyst with an elite proficiency in Excel (Macros/VBA). With a primary focus on data integrity and advanced data analysis, you will be responsible for transforming raw, high-volume data sets into clean, accurate, and comprehensive master workbooks. You will be responsible for meticulously reviewing data, identifying variances, and establishing absolute data accuracy. This role demands extreme attention to detail, a natural curiosity for problem-solving, and the ability to thrive and deliver accurate results under tight deadlines.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Set Preparation & Packaging: Compile, structure, and package clean financial and property data sets into comprehensive master workbooks utilizing multiple data sources for senior leadership review ahead of investment decisions.
  • Audit & Reconciliation: Review, analyze, and reconcile financial data to ensure absolute accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
  • Strategy Optimization: Analyze data to identify actionable patterns and recommend strategic adjustments that optimize business performance and execution.
  • Process Automation: Design, build, and maintain advanced Excel models and Macros to streamline repetitive data tasks and minimize human error.
  • Portfolio Reporting: Generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations and finance teams to understand their data needs and deliver tailored analytical support.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis, public accounting, or internal/external audit. An audit background is highly preferred for its emphasis on data integrity and risk assessment.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel. You should be comfortable writing/troubleshooting VBA Macros. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Core Attributes: Extreme attention to detail, a natural curiosity for problem-solving, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

 

Work Schedule

Because our industry revolves around seasonal municipal auction cycles, we offer a structured, flexible schedule that mirrors our peak business periods:

  • January – August: Hybrid schedule (2 days in the Pennsauken office, 3 days remote).
  • September – December: Fully collaborative, 5 days in the Pennsauken office to execute live tax sales alongside the leadership team
  • Travel: Please note that this role may require occasional driving throughout the state. A valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle are necessary.
