The enthusiastic DeciBio Consulting (“DeciBio”) team is seeking a Junior Controller to support its continued growth. This “glue player” is well positioned to grow into a leadership role, over time, as the firm continues to grow.
This position is based in our Los Angeles office (hybrid) and is hiring for an early 2025 start date. Additional offices may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Accountant:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities and ensure that accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems are accurate and current
- Manage cashflows, A/R, and A/P – ensuring transactions and invoices are processed and received timely
- Monitor and manage all taxes and jurisdictional compliance, for all five entities, leveraging external support
- Reconcile transactions, approve and categorize expenses, and close the books regularly
- Handle bill payments – both online and printed
- Oversee payroll setup, management, and documentation
- Ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned
- Help manage the work of external accounting support
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare and review A/R, A/P, budgets, and financial reports and models
- Support executive decision making through rigorous quantitative analysis of the business
- Track ESG-related data and manage reporting processes
- Work with senior team to ensure CRM data and associated reports are accurate and up-to-date
- Operations:
- Manage vendor and client onboarding processes as well as continued compliance and documentation
- Support compliance and legal needs
- Maintain strong records and systems
- Support:
- Report directly to COO, with exposure to the Leadership Team and the broader team
- Address ad hoc accounting requests via the accounting and team inquiries (email, Slack, phone, etc.)
Requirements:
- At least four years of directly comparable experience
- Experience with foreign exchange and multi-state entities
- A profitability-driven mindset
- A self-starting proactive spirit who thrives while multi-allocated in a fast-paced work environment and has the ability to roll up their sleeves across the cash flow cycle and excel in both micro and macro tasks and thinking
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- An Engineering mind that can leverage advanced Excel functions and orchestrate ERP
- Embodiment of DeciBio’s core values
- Proficiency with modern accounting software, HRIS, payroll, integrations, and other ERP
- Experience with LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps
- Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in a relevant field; CPA preferred

- Salary ($86,000 - $121,000), performance bonus ($0 - $24,200), company profit sharing, and a 401(k) plan with contributions from DeciBio – he specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and location
