Applied Research Solutions is looking for a Junior Configuration Data Manager to support the Training PEO Support Directorate at WPAFB, AFB in the T-7 Advanced Pilot Training program. The Junior Configuration Data Manager will be expected to apply knowledge of the fundamentals of configuration management to establish and maintain consistency of a product’s performance, functional, and physical attributes with its requirements, design, and operational information throughout its life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Apply configuration management principles to ensure consistency between product performance, functional, and physical attributes and their requirements, design, and operational information.
  • Analyze impacts of configuration management change processes on lifecycle sustainment.
  • Assist in the development, management, and compliance of CDRL requirements.
  • Review, develop, and update configuration/data management program documentation.
  • Support configuration control, including receipt, dissemination, processing, tracking, and final disposition of ACSNs, ECPs, CCPs, and RFD/RFWs.
  • Participate in preparation and execution of CCB and business management boards or equivalent.
  • Maintain and track change proposal files, ensuring historical data is available.
  • Assist in maintaining configuration status accounting databases and records reflecting the status of baseline documentation and fielded systems.
  • Support data management activities, including selection and tailoring of DIDs and preparation of data management forms.
  • Assist in organizing and issuing data calls, including drafting data call letters and understanding distribution statements and FAR/DFARS data rights clauses.
  • Review and evaluate OEM proposals for configuration status accounting and compliance with technical data requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Must be a US Citizen 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in configuration management, data management, or a related field.
  • Experience with CDRL requirements, deficiency reporting, and managing technical data.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS data rights clauses and understanding of distribution statements.
  • Proven ability to interact with government and industry teams and resolve complex configuration management issues.
  • Experience with configuration management tools and databases, including MEARS and JDRS is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
