Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Junior Cloud Operations and Customer Support Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA or St. Louis, MO.
Job Description:
In this role, you will join our Continuous Operations Release Environment (CORE) team, providing high-quality, cost-effective cloud solutions to our clients. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our cloud infrastructure, emphasizing operational excellence, efficiency, and exceptional customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Respond to and resolve customer issues, providing top-tier technical support and customer service
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to support the user consumption of applications in a complex enterprise cloud environment
- Monitor applications to identify and address performance or availability issues
- Continuously assess application infrastructure for scalability and performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation for application support procedures.
What You'll Need
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in the IT field, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud operations and customer support
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Experience delivering customer-focused technical support
- Knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Nexus).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $120-$130k. Skills Required

What We Do
D2 Consulting provides services to the Federal Government focused in the following three area's We leverage D2 Consulting engineering, operations and governance best practices to efficiently and effectively deploy, maintain and continuously improve IT services and solutions. This includes not only engineering solutions such as VDI and providing direct support to operations but also deploying the tools to instrument and maintain Enterprise performance and availability (including ITSM and Enterprise Management Tools). Protect & Secure: This is our cyber security practice, which includes functions like audit and information assurance, as well as the traditional mechanics of securing IT systems and services. We have experience working with the Government to better manage risk to help move the accreditation process along. This is especially true with respect to adapting accreditation controls to a cloud environment. Cloud Migration and Data Center modernization/consolidation: This area is focused on cloud migration and adoption as well as data center consolidation. We work to ensure that infrastructure requirements are implemented correctly, according to best practices and in a timely manner.
