WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Junior Data & AI Engineer, your mission will be to contribute to the transformation and continuous evolution of the platforms that supports the Business line.
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

• Generate insight from diverse data sources by applying AI, classic analytics, and modern machine-learning techniques to enrich dashboards and decision-making tools.
• Spot patterns, trends, and anomalies and turn them into algorithms or predictive models that add measurable value for the business.
• Design and build analytics solutions that combine the right cloud services for data storage, processing, and real-time or batch consumption.
• Prototype and evaluate emerging cloud technologies and advanced analytics approaches, recommending the best fit for production workloads.
• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines using modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, monitoring, etc.).
• Document technical solutions clearly and concisely, creating runbooks and architecture diagrams that accelerate knowledge sharing.
• Build compelling dashboards and visual stories that translate complex findings into clear, actionable messages for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike

EXPERIENCE

• 1 - 2 years hands-on experience (including internships or academic projects) in cloud-native data engineering, analytics, or application architecture
• Fluent in English and desirable in Spanish.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Solid grasp of statistics, feature-engineering, and GenAI / ML frameworks (e.g., LangChain).
• Curiosity for exploratory data analysis and experiment design.
• You are familiar with Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Understanding of evaluation metrics, bias/variance trade-offs, and prompt-engineering basics.
• Habit of rapid-learning new services (e.g., vector databases, serverless ETL)
• Proficiency with BI tools (AWS QuickSight) and basic UX principles for data storytelling.
• SQL fluency and an eye for translating metrics into actionable insights.
• Communicates trade-offs and design rationales effectively to mixed audiences.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within product-oriented, agile teams.
• Adaptable, growth mindset; proven ability to learn new tech quickly.

OTHER INFORMATION

• AWS Architect or Data certification is a plus.
• Experience with database management systems
• Experience in event sourcing technologies such as Kafka is a plus.
• Experience with Agile Development style and tools such JIRA, Confluence.
