You will join a truly driven team of 60 hands-on builders serving 1 billion students worldwide. If we execute on our product vision, you will have built something that transforms education globally.

Your mission

The problem you will solve: As we scale rapidly to capture the AI learning market, we need operational excellence that connects our financial strategy with our talent strategy. Our growth depends on smart resource allocation and building a strong, hard working team that can execute on our ambitions. You will be responsible to find the best entrepreneurial talent and will build up our talent product, utilising first principle thinking and product set ups to build the best team.

Your ownership:

  • Reinvent our talent function - Build an entirely new talent approach, not standard high-volume TA. Design systems to find true outliers in places no one else is looking, creating a strategic capability that enables us to hire exceptional people consistently and efficiently through unconventional methods.

  • Drive strategic planning and resource optimization - develop frameworks for forecasting, planning, and resource allocation that inform strategic decisions on growth investments and organizational priorities

  • Build talent like you would build a product - Treat our hires as customers and develop a complete product strategy to excite and convert them. Develop models for hiring plans, optimize acquisition efficiency and ROI, and ensure our talent investments align with business priorities and organizational goals.

  • Organisational health and financial impact - build dashboards, frameworks, and automated processes that provide leadership with real-time visibility into organisational health and talent pipeline strength

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives - take ownership of projects that span operations, talent, and strategy - from stakeholder engagement to employer branding to operational efficiency improvements

What success looks like: You will have implemented robust financial reporting systems, established a scalable talent acquisition process, and created integrated planning tools that help leadership make better decisions about where to invest our resources - both capital and people.

  • Leverages AI and automation to eliminate manual work and create leverage across all operational functions

  • Values systems over heroics - you build processes that work without you, not dependencies on you

  • Applies product thinking to talent - This isn't a traditional TA build-out. You'll approach talent acquisition like building a product: creative, innovative, and from first principles. We want someone who reimagines TA from the ground up with fresh, unconventional approaches - not cookie-cutter solutions that everyone else is implementing

Your track record

You have already proven you can deliver impact in operational roles - whether through experience in finance, operations, consulting, or talent/people functions at high-growth companies. You're naturally versatile and energized by wearing multiple hats.

Must-haves

  • Top-tier university (business, economics, or quantitative field)

  • Previous experience in consulting, high-growth startup, or similar university projects

  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

  • Native/fluent English; German is a plus

  • Ready to work from our Berlin office 5 days/week (with some flexibility!)
