About the Role 

Imagine this - you are helping Destinus expand across one of the most strategically important and fast-moving defense markets in Europe. As a Junior Business Development Manager for Eastern Europe, you will support the identification, development, and execution of new business opportunities across the region, working closely with senior commercial leaders, customers, government stakeholders, and internal technical teams. 

This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to build strong commercial expertise in aerospace and defense. You will gain direct exposure to complex sales cycles, public procurement, tenders, customer engagement, and market development while contributing to Destinus' growth across Eastern Europe.

What You'll Do 
  • Support the development of new business opportunities across Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on defense, aerospace, UAVs, and government customers 
  • Research regional markets, defense priorities, procurement programs, competitors, and potential partners to identify new opportunities 
  • Assist senior Business Development colleagues throughout the full commercial cycle, from initial opportunity identification to proposal and contract stages 
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, government stakeholders, local partners, and other key players across the region 
  • Support the preparation of proposals, tenders, presentations, commercial offers, and other customer-facing materials 
  • Track public tenders, procurement opportunities, defense programs, and relevant regulatory developments across Eastern European markets 
  • Coordinate with engineering, product, legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure commercial opportunities are supported by solid technical and business cases 
  • Help organize customer meetings, demonstrations, industry events, and trade shows across the region 
  • Maintain accurate information on opportunities, customer interactions, next steps, and commercial priorities 
  • Travel across Eastern Europe when required to meet customers, partners, and stakeholders 

RequirementsWhat You'll Need 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, International Relations, Economics, Engineering, Aerospace, Defense Studies, or a related field 
  • Initial experience in business development, sales, consulting, defense, aerospace, government affairs, or a similar environment through employment, internships, or relevant projects 
  • Strong interest in the defense and aerospace industries and motivation to develop a career in an international commercial role 
  • Understanding of Eastern European markets and their business environment 
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to turn market information into clear commercial insights 
  • Confidence communicating with different stakeholders in an international environment 
  • Excellent written and spoken English 
  • Romanian or another Eastern European language is highly valued 
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the region 
  • Experience with government procurement, tenders, UAVs, aerospace, or defense technology is a plus but not essential

Skills Required
