Job Description
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst role is critical to the success of the Core Lines Data Products Team as they work to achieve their goals of increasing speed to market, growing (and retaining) market share/revenue, improving the customer value perception, and communicating operational transparency.
The BI Analyst will need to combat a lack of standardization, centralization, and consistency in data availability by developing repeatable frameworks for accessing and analyzing data to develop actionable insights regarding the state of the business.
Job Responsibilities:
Enable foundational understanding of Core Lines’ operational performance, including but not limited to:
- Performance relative to market
- General business health
- Support for business and strategic decisions
Establish foundation for:
- Standardized, regular cadence of confident reporting, accelerating/reducing delivery timeframes
- Data-driven prioritization and decision making (both strategic and opportunity-specific)
- Verisk-based market studies/reports (where permissible)
- Competitive intelligence baselining
- Product development research and planning
- Renewal/new business conversation support
- Meaningful customer segmentation
Work closely with key business partners and stakeholders to ensure data is consistently and accurately reconciled between various data sets (when needed)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1-2 years’ experience in Business Intelligence and/or Data Analytics is desired
- Research and analytical skills
- Experience in Excel (including Pivot tables, lookups, charts, functions etc.)
- Experience with SQL (queries, window functions etc.)
- A keen understanding of data management fundamentals, including concepts such as data dictionaries, data models, validation, and reporting is a strong asset
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Sigma will be plus
- Willingness to work in a hybrid model (2 days from the office, 3 days remotely) from the Krakow City center based office.
