The Role
We are seeking an early-career AI Engineer to join our growing Technology & Engineering practice. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with generative AI, foundation models, and modern full-stack development while being supported by experienced engineers. You will contribute to building intelligent applications that solve real business challenges across financial services, with exposure to front, middle, and back-office operations transformation initiatives.
The ideal candidate will combine technical curiosity with an understanding of financial services operations, helping clients reinvent and optimize operational processes through AI-enabled solutions while supporting business analysis, feature reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Support the design and development of applications leveraging foundation models (LLMs, multimodal AI) and intelligent automation capabilities
- Experiment with generative AI techniques including RAG and prompt engineering under guidance to solve operational and business challenges
- Contribute to building AI agents and workflows using frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel
- Assist in developing full-stack applications and APIs integrating AI capabilities across front, middle, and back-office financial services operations
- Collaborate in agile teams while contributing to testing, deployment, process reinvention initiatives, and feature reporting activities
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or equivalent practical training
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one AI/ML framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Foundational experience with generative AI, LLMs, and hands-on experience with RAG through academic, internship, or personal projects
- Understanding of financial services operations across front, middle, or back-office functions, with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and support business analysis activities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a proactive approach to learning, stakeholder engagement, and reporting on business and technical features
Bonus Points For
- Experience with tools or frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI APIs
- Exposure to front-end or back-end technologies including React, JavaScript, Node.js, or FastAPI
- Knowledge of vector databases, data pipelines, APIs, cloud concepts, Git, and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with deploying AI/ML workloads on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Internship or hands-on project experience within AI, machine learning, or financial services technology environments
