We are looking for a Junior AI Engineer to join our Client's Research & Innovation team.
This role is ideal for a curious and hands-on engineer passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and emerging technologies. The successful candidate will help design, build, and test AI-powered Proofs of Concept (PoCs), pilot programs, and innovative solutions that explore how AI can enhance products, internal operations, and customer experiences. The role focuses on experimentation, rapid prototyping, AI integration, and technical research. Candidates should have strong Python development skills, software engineering fundamentals, and an eagerness to learn and apply new AI technologies.
Location: 100% ON-SITE from Asuncion, Paraguay. Working hours will be 9 AM - 6 PM Paraguay Time Zone.

Key Responsibilities
- Research, evaluate, and experiment with emerging AI technologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Design, build, and validate AI Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and pilot solutions.
- Develop AI-powered applications, automation workflows, and chatbot solutions using Python and/or C#.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI services into existing products and internal systems.
- Implement and optimize Prompt Engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
- Develop and consume REST APIs to connect AI services, applications, and third-party platforms.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to identify and validate AI-driven opportunities.
- Test, monitor, and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of AI solutions.
- Document technical findings, recommendations, and implementation approaches.
- Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, code quality, and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-3 years of software engineering experience, internships, academic projects, or AI-related experience.
- Strong proficiency in C# or Python.
- Understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented programming.
- Experience developing APIs and backend services.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated interest or knowledge in Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies (mostly on how it works, not only using it).
