About The Role

We are seeking a Junior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting and working closely with the Senior AR Staff Accountant, you will manage billing and collections for customers in the US and Internationally, serve as a key point of contact for customer billing inquiries, and partner with teams across the company to resolve account issues.

This role is a strong fit for a proactive, organized self-starter who communicates well, enjoys research and problem-solving, and can shift priorities quickly in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining quality of work.

Key Responsibilites

• Follow up on open accounts receivable and proactively pursue past-due balances by email and phone.
• Prepare and maintain AR aging reports and track collection activity.
• Investigate, coordinate, and resolve customer inquiries about invoices, payment history, and statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing for new and existing customers.
• Prepare consolidated billing statements for larger customer groups.
• Prepare credit memos and account adjustments.
• Ensure all customers have an active stored payment method on file.
• Respond promptly to internal billing inquiries from other departments.
• Coordinate across time zones as needed during your regular workday.
• Use Excel, Sage Intacct, and Salesforce to carry out these responsibilities.
• Support occasional office projects as time permits, such as team events, travel arrangements, trade show logistics, and purchasing company swag and rewards.
• Take on additional responsibilities as the role grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business, or equivalent experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in an accounting or accounts receivable role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with customers, colleagues, and managers across departments and countries.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Commitment to meeting deadlines.
• A proactive approach to customer outreach and follow-up.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools such as Teams, Zoom, and Slack, plus familiarity with using AI.

Preferred

• Experience with Sage Intacct and Salesforce is a plus but not required if you possess the ability to learn new systems quickly.

The pay range for this role is:

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 USD per year
