The role handles day-to-day transaction processing, payment and petty cash documentation, and YARDI data entry — all reviewed by the Senior Accountant, providing appropriate control and supervision. Success in the first 12 months: clean and complete accounting files, timely and accurate YARDI entries requiring minimal correction, well-maintained invoice trackers, and reliable day-to-day support to the finance team. - Regularly review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers and follow up on outstanding items.
- Support routine banking activities in coordination with the assigned Treasury focal point, including bank deposits, transfers, and preparation of bank-related documentation.
- Assist with rent collection follow-ups and receipt recording, acting as a backup to the responsible Collection Accountant when required.
- Support the accounting team in addressing ad hoc queries, analysis, and reports requested by Management.
- Maintain and properly file accounting documents, vouchers and supporting schedules, ensuring records are complete, accurately referenced, and readily available for review and audit.
