We are currently seeking a junior accountant primarily responsible on supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable process as well as the accounting team. This role also involves preparing related journal entries, including accruals and prepaids. The Junior Accountant will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate and timely financial records.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING | THE ROLE
Accounting (33%)
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly and year-end journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and ad hoc.
- Assist in the reconciliation of accounts at month-end.
- Assist in various accounting projects.
Accounts payable (33%)
- Process supplier invoices.
- Review submitted expense reports.
- Review credit card transaction.
- Assist in various AP projects.
Accounts receivable (33%)
- Perform daily cash applications;
- Process invoice requests.
- Prepare and analyze reconciliation (time charter).
- Assist in various AP projects.
WHAT YOU BRING | THE PERSON
The ideal candidate has:
- DEC in accounting, finance or any related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role in accounting.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles (GAAP).
- Clear communication skills to handle interactions within the team and other department.
- Excellent organization and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in excel.
- Workday Finance and/or other ERP is an asset.
- Bilingualism, French and English.
