Our Financial Accounting & Controlling Team at mobile.de  (5 people including this role) is responsible for a broad range of activities and works closely with local teams (FP&A, Legal, HR), the Central Regional Accounting Team in Amsterdam, Central Functions in Barcelona and Shared Services in Romania and India. 

 As an Accountant, you'll be at the heart of our dynamic Berlin Financial Accounting & Controlling team and report to the local Head of Accounting/Controlling.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 office days/ week), our office is based in Berlin-Charlottenburg. 

What you'll do:

• Contribute to month-end closing processes and the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS

• Support the preparation and consolidation of IFRS-compliant financial statements and reporting packages, including cash flow statements

• Help reconcile VAT returns and assist in the preparation of tax returns

• Support external audits (financial and tax)

• Act as a trusted partner to our business by advising on local tax, billing, and accounting topics, and assist in rolling out new financial processes

• Work closely with local and central Finance teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance

Your profile:

• You have 1,5-2+ years professional experience in roles with a strong focus on Accounting

• Bachelor- or Masters degree / MBA Accounting & Controlling

• Relevant HGB / German GAAP and first IFRS knowledge

• Proven operational finance capability; close & compliance experience

• Ability to simplify and communicate complex problems in a clear concise way for the business

• Demonstrate ability to successfully partner and influence with the different levels in the organization

• Good  analytical skills

• Good knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Navision, SAP, Salesforce or similar consolidating/reporting tools

• Business fluent in German, strong English skills in writing and speaking
