Position Summary:

The Jr. System and Reporting Administrator will be responsible for documenting and supporting communication between relevant groups and capture requirements needed to initiate a change. Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the department’s reporting systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create dynamic reports with PivotTables for title follow-up, vehicle title releases, repossession titles, title maintenance and other title and collateral functions.
  • Manage large datasets with functions: IF, SUM, INDEX, MATCH, VLOOKUP.
  • Act as a liaison between the IT department, Business Unit, and third-party vendors.
  • Configure information system(s) to automate business processes / workflows.
  • Manage tasks/projects related to one or more information systems to ensure deliverables are met on schedule. Troubleshoot system issues and escalate as needed. Lead application and user acceptance testing
  • Stay current on technological advancements to suggest improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality due to regular access to specified personal information of consumers, including, but not limited to, Social Security numbers and dates of birth.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1-year relevant technical experience in auto finance industry or relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulatory guidelines (ECOA, Fair Lending, CRA, FCRA, etc.).
  • Advanced experience using MS Excel, MS-Access, MS Query, SQL queries, Visio and JAVA script or similar process mapping software. Must have a basic understanding of interface techniques.
  • Familiar with application programming concepts/best practices and experience in programming in a language that utilizes advanced Excel like functions.
  • Solid understanding of workflow and business processes.
  • Proven experience in system administration and report development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to derive conclusions and make recommendations beyond the scope of written policies or standard guidelines.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with close attention to detail

Education:

Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; or a combination of education and related experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Houston, TX

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Certification in system administration or reporting tools preferred.
  • Skills – Sequel and Tableau plus.

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
