About the Position and Team
This position will report directly to the Head of Enterprise Solutions Architecture in the FIS Banking Sales Growth Office. The employee will assist senior architects to help establish leading-edge banking and digital solutions for FIS’ clients across banks, credit unions and FinTechs. This employee will collaborate and partner with Sales, Product and Technology personnel across the enterprise to help define solutions necessary to support FIS’ prospects and clients. FIS is a FinTech Leader and is actively disrupting the financial markets by creating innovative solutions and this employee will be instrumental in contributing to this innovation.
What you will be doing
- Under the guidance of a senior solution architect, work with sales teams, and our clients to create solution architecture and design for their requirements.
- Under the guidance of a senior solution architect, applying architectural and engineering concepts to design a solution that meets operational requirements such as scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability and manageability.
- Assist and support the preparation of sales proposals, RFP’s, RFI’s, and value propositions for multiple, concurrent client engagements.
- Support client demonstrations and product deep-dives.
- Assist in the technical design of complex systems.
- Work with senior solution architects in running workshops for clients with the aim of maximizing FIS’ solution value.
- Assist senior solution architect to work with Implementation and delivery teams to help guide the design and development of the solution.
- Create Solution Architecture documents that outlines the end-to-end solution.
- Assist senior solution architect to work with product management teams to contribute to product strategy, market requirements and Go To Market plans.
- Work with senior solution architects to help maintain and enhance the FIS Banking Domain and capability models by identifying whitespace and evaluating partner and/or 3rd party solutions to fill capability gaps.
What you bring
- BS in Computer Science or BA in Business or related field required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services systems with introductory knowledge of retail and commercial banking.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with one or more of the following information and application technologies is a plus
- Object Oriented Design and Programming with JAVA or C#, SQL, DevOps, Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), REST, JSON and the like.
- DevOps and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud-native and cloud capable architecture and solutions.
- Experience in Agile Design and development is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools like Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Visio.
- Extensive stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Resourceful and comfortable working in a small team environment where self-sufficiency is essential
- Superior interpersonal, communication, presentation, organizational skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel, approximately 60%

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $96,610.00 - $159,410.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
