The LIFT (Leasing, Investments, Finance & Trading) group is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Jr. Portfolio Manager to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the ideal candidate should be a team player, self-motivated, and highly reliable at handling a large volume of portfolio activity. They should be able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team.
The Jr. Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s aircraft and engine portfolio throughout its lease term, during transitions, and at end of life. This role requires close collaboration with commercial, technical, legal, and finance teams to ensure the company’s portfolio is maintained, operated, and returned in accordance with lease terms and company strategy.
Responsibilities:
Portfolio Oversight and Lease Management
- Oversee the administration of the company’s portfolio of “on-lease” and “off-lease” commercial aircraft and engines.
- Ensure compliance with all administrative contractual obligations.
- Track lease financial performance metrics.
- Maintain deep familiarity with the company’s portfolio.
Technical Coordination
- Collaborate with the technical team to assess compliance with lease technical obligations, return conditions, maintenance conditions, and records obligations.
- In conjunction with the technical team, track near-term maintenance events, maintenance reserves, and lessor obligations to contribute towards such maintenance events.
Reporting & Planning:
- Oversee internal monthly reporting on lease performance, lessee compliance, and key lease events.
- Assist with portfolio reviews.
- Identify and escalate risk areas such as non-compliance.
Lessee & Stakeholder Interface
- Serve as the lead contact with lessees for contractual compliance matters.
- Coordinate with the legal department regarding contractual notices, consents, waivers, and amendments.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in aviation is preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
