Jr. Network Administrator

As a Network Administrator within Aylo’s Global Networking Team, you will be responsible of providing tier 1 support to all internal customers on the various access platforms available to our users as well as contributing to the teams’ projects.  The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, in-depth knowledge of the OSI model and the relation between the different layers, provide quick end user resolution and work internally with the network team toward permanent resolutions.

What you’ll be doing: 

• Provide tier 1 support to all internal clients on the various access platforms available to our users
• Contributing to the network teams’ projects
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with network infrastructure
• Provide quick resolution and communication for end user issues
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and new service requests in a timely fashion
• Monitor, communicate for and resolve network infrastructure alarms
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and propose solutions for performance issues
• Install and integrate new hardware Install, integrate, and upgrade network infrastructure hardware and software
• Participate in off hours maintenances and operations when needed including on call rotation

What you'll need to be successful:  

Must -Haves: 

• 1-2 years’ experience in a similar network administration role
• 1-2 years’ experience administrating network infrastructure (routers, switches, access points, firewalls, etc.)
• Knowledge and/or experience with Juniper’s Junos OS
• In-depth knowledge of common access layer technologies (Ethernet, fibre optics, Wi-Fi, VLAN, VXLAN, Ethernet switching, Wi-Fi, and routing technologies)
• Comfortability & experience with racking, cabling, and powering networking equipment
• Experience with common IGP routing protocols (OSPF, IS-IS, etc.)
• Experienced working in a multi-tenant environment (Service Provider/Data Center)
• Understanding of the OSI model and methodical troubleshooting practices
• Experience with 802.1x authentication
• Experience with RADIUS server management and configuration 

Nice to Haves: 

• JNCIA-Junos/JNCIS or CCNA/CCNP certifications are a plus
