Jr. IT Administrator

About Paradromics

At Paradromics, we're enabling a future where direct data interfaces with the brain unlock technology solutions to unmet medical challenges. A revolutionary leap beyond today's lab-confined brain-computer interfaces (BCI), our Connexus™ Direct Data Interface (DDI) collects an unprecedented number of individual neural signals with a fully implantable device designed for long-term daily service. Our first clinical application is an assistive communication device for patients who've lost the physical ability to speak or type. The Connexus DDI platform—and the vast brain data it accesses—has boundless potential for future applications, from enabling people with sensory and motor impairment to treating neuropsychiatric disorders.

The Role

We are seeking an IT Administrator to join our IT team and provide day-to-day technical support across the organization. Reporting to the IT Manager, this role serves as a primary point of contact for end-user support, user account and device provisioning, and IT asset administration.

The ideal candidate is service-oriented, organized, and comfortable supporting a mixed-device environment. This position offers hands-on experience with identity and access management, Microsoft Intune, endpoint administration, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and IT service management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for help desk tickets, triaging and resolving hardware and software issues for end users in a timely, professional manner.

• Provide end-user support for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and associated collaboration and productivity tools.

• Provision and deprovision user accounts, system access, and equipment for new hires, transfers, and departures in accordance with established onboarding and offboarding procedures.

• Administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) via Microsoft Intune for both Windows and Apple (macOS/iOS) devices, including enrollment, compliance policies, and app deployment.

• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, such as laptops and peripherals, tracking assignment, condition, and lifecycle.

• Handle equipment setup and account provisioning for new hire onboarding, and access removal and equipment retrieval for offboarding.

• Provide basic troubleshooting and support of Linux workstations, escalating advanced or specialized issues as appropriate.

• Make occasional DNS entry updates (e.g., new records, minor changes) under the direction of the IT Manager.

• Create and maintain clear and accurate documentation of procedures, assets, and common issue resolutions.

• Help enforce IT policies and procedures and provide input and feedback on improvements.

• Escalate complex issues to the IT Manager or the appropriate specialized team (Network/SRE/DSE) as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in an IT support or help desk role.

• Familiarity with device/MDM administration; hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune is a strong plus.

• Comfort supporting Windows, macOS/iOS, and Linux devices.

• Basic understanding of user account and identity administration (e.g., Active Directory, Google Workspace, Entra ID, or similar).

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.

• Customer-service mindset and ability to prioritize across multiple open tickets.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification a plus.

• Experience working with a ticketing system (NinjaOne is a plus).

 Additional Information
  • Full-time/exempt
  • Location: Austin, TX (onsite)
  • Standard business hours with flexibility to provide occasional after-hours support
  • Ability to lift and transport laptops, PCs monitors, and other routine IT equipment

What We Do

ENABLING NEUROTECHNOLOGY Paradromics’ Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) platform records brain activity at the highest possible resolution: the individual neuron. Our AI algorithms decode this massive amount of brain-data, enabling the seamless translation of thought into treatments. THE MISSION Data-driven BCI-based technologies for brain health Our technology will help millions with unmet medical needs suffering from paralysis and movement disorders to chronic pain, addiction, depression and other mental health conditions. ABOUT Matt Angle Ph.D. (CEO) founded Paradromics to build a high-data-rate BCI platform capable of addressing critical unmet clinical needs. With early funding from the NIH and DARPA, the company developed its core neurotechnology and, by 2019, shifted focus to its first product: the Connexus® BCI. Connexus is designed to restore communication through text, synthesized speech, and computer control for people with severe motor impairments, including those caused by ALS, stroke, or spinal cord injury. Backed by two FDA Breakthrough Device Designations and a successful first-in-human recording in May 2025, Paradromics is now preparing to launch a clinical trial in late 2025 to evaluate the long-term safety and participant benefits of their first product, the Connexus BCI.
