Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Jr. Front End Web Developer (with Artificial Intelligence basics and DevSecOps experience) located at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio to support the Air Force Institute of Technology’s (AFIT) Cyberspace Technical Center of Excellence (CyTCoE).

Responsibilities include:

  • Front end and back end code development and maintenance
  • AI/ML integration code development and maintenance
  • Integrate Web Application into enterprise systems via APIs
  • Execute and interpret results from DevSecOps pipelines and update App as necessary
  • Collaborate with host teams to deploy Web App and AI/ML capabilities to cloud/kubernetes environments
  • Define data models and storage solutions for data
  • Other duties as assigned

Desired Experience:

  • Strong JavaScript/Java background; familiarity with Python
  • Familiarity with Web Application architecture and use of JavaScript Frameworks (Vue and Quasar in particular)
  • Familiarity with Document, Graph, and Relational databases (MongoDB, Neo4j, PostegreSQL)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML principals and techniques
  • Knowledge of APIs, data integration, and orchestration tools
  • Familiarity with containers and Kubernetes is a plus
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principals and pipelines (Git repo, static and dynamic code analysis, building container images, deployment to Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (esp. in regulated environments like DoD).

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience designing or implementing AI/ML solutions in production.
  • 3+ years of experience in web development (front end preferred)_
  • Experience working in MLOps environments and deploying ML models at scale is a strong plus.

Skills Required

  • U.S. citizenship
