Job Description – Jr. DevOps Engineer
We are seeking a Jr. DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the enhancement of our infrastructure, deployment processes, and overall software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong Azure fundamentals, hands-on exposure to Docker and Kubernetes, and a keen interest in leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process. Work closely with development teams to integrate CI/CD into the software development lifecycle.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM/Bicep).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, configuration, and deployment. Identify opportunities for automation to streamline operational processes.
- Leverage AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate scripting, automation, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the availability and performance of applications and infrastructure.
- Configure and manage logging systems for centralized log analysis.
- Implement security best practices in infrastructure and code, and collaborate with the security team to ensure overall system security.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies, develop POCs, create reports, and demonstrate outcomes.
- Assess and prioritize work to support an agile culture and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and operations, to foster a culture of collaboration and shared responsibility.
Core Competency
- B.Tech. / M.Tech in CSE / Software Engineering / IT Graduate.
- Fresher – 2 years of hands-on experience in the following tools & technologies:
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (priority); exposure to AWS or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Hands-on knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Working knowledge of AI coding assistants (Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
- Experience with Linux Administration.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket CI/CD).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket).
- Ticketing tools like Jira.
- Log management tools like ELK, Splunk, etc.
- Infra monitoring tools – Site24x7, Datadog, Intune, etc.
- Domain management tools (Cloudflare / GoDaddy).
- MongoDB database administration and Mongo Atlas management knowledge.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant Azure certifications are a plus (Azure Administrator or Azure Architect).
