We are seeking a Junior-Level Cloud Java Developer to support a web-based application that supports the safety oversight of commercial air carriers by managing the analysis of safety incidents, operations, maintenance, and service quality.
You will be a part of a cross-functional, Agile development team working with our DoD customer. The code that you write will support front-end functionality and expose SOAP and REST web services to a variety of applications, exchanging data with other systems as needed to share results.
- Work with lead developers on solving complex problems
- Develop software in interactive design, build, and test cycles
- Support the Agile methodology
- Check code into our continuous integration pipeline, to incrementally build the system and receive immediate feedback on build performance
- Write unit tests and automate integration tests
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages (especially Java)
- Ability to work under general direction on complex projects, issues, and problems
- Strong innovative and analytical abilities, and experience in implementation
- You are adaptable, and love learning new technologies
- Knowledge of when to power through a problem, or stop and ask for guidance
- Ability to make a convincing argument, and support team members
- Experience working in a big data environment
- Java
- Relational Data Models. Experience with Oracle and/or Amazon RDS for Oracle a plus.
- Spring Boot and SpringMVC
- Web Services like SOAP and REST
- Continuous Integration tools like GIT, Maven, Jenkins
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years of Java Development experience
- Experience in implementing code
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
