Responsibilities
Lead or support the engineering and execution of digital solution projects, including DCS, SCADA/HMI, Advanced Process Control (APC), Asset Performance Management (APM), and Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM).
Act as a technical reference throughout the project lifecycle: scope definition, engineering, commissioning, and handover.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, service, and product) to design and deliver tailored digital solutions aligned with customer needs.
Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with ABB's quality and safety standards.
Interface directly with customers across process industries (Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals,) to translate operational challenges into digital solutions
Support continuous improvement by identifying technical optimization opportunities and contributing to lessons-learned processes
Contribute to the integration of IT/OT environments, leveraging ABB Ability™ platform capabilities and industrial IoT concepts
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Control, Chemical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field
Proven experience in project engineering within industrial automation or digital solutions environments
Solid knowledge of at least one of the following: DCS (ABB System 800xA, Symphony Plus, or equivalent), SCADA/HMI platforms, APC, APM, MOM or MES systems
Experience working directly with customers in process industries (Mining, Pulp & Paper, Metals)
Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus for LATAM-wide roles)
Availability for regional travel within Latin America as required by project scope
Nice to Have / Differentiators
Experience with ABB Ability™ platform or other IIoT/industrial analytics tools
Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts applied to OT/industrial environments
PMP certification or equivalent project management methodology experience
Hands-on experience with IT/OT integration and data-driven operational improvement initiatives
Fluency in both Portuguese and Spanish
