About SmartVerify SmartVerify is the data security and compliance layer for enterprise AI. We are a small, technical team building infrastructure that enterprise security teams and regulators will rely on.
As Generative AI transforms applications from predictable tools into dynamic security risks, enterprises can no longer rely on AppSec as a proxy for Data Security. They need granular, reliable control. SmartVerify is that control layer. We are building a distributed security grid that enforces policy at the edge. We need a Lead Engineer to build the Control Plane. This is the central component that orchestrates security policies across thousands of nodes in real-time.
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team. You will help build and maintain modern web applications, working across both frontend and backend systems. You'll collaborate with experienced engineers to develop scalable applications using React, Python, Go, C++, PostgreSQL, and AWS while gaining hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and modern software development practices.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Go, and C++.
Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL.
Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS.
Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
Develop and maintain responsive web applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the full technology stack.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot bugs, performance issues, and production incidents.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
0–2 years of software development experience (internships, personal projects, or open-source contributions are welcome).
Experience with one or more backend programming languages: Python, Go (Golang) or C++
Experience building frontend applications using React.
Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
Basic understanding of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating frontend applications with backend services.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux or React Context.
Experience with Docker and containerization.
Exposure to Linux development environments.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and frontend performance optimization.
Experience with automated testing for frontend and backend applications.
Nice to Have
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
Familiarity with Kubernetes.
Experience with modern frontend build tools such as Vite or Webpack.
Open-source contributions or personal full stack projects.
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development practices.
Why Join SmartVerify?
* Solve Hard Problems: This isn't a standard REST API role. You are solving problems related to distributed state, latency, and grid computing.
* AI-Ready Security: You are building the infrastructure that will enable enterprises to safely adopt the next generation of AI tools.
* Architectural Ownership: You will define how our Control Plane scales from Day 1 to Day 1,000.

What We Do
SmartVerify is the first egress control plane for the agentic era, serving as the safety layer for the AI-first enterprise. It provides autonomous guardrails that decouple data security from application logic, enabling teams to deploy AI features rapidly without compromising safety. By implementing action control directly at the data layer, SmartVerify protects critical assets from AI-powered threats and ensures enterprise data security.
