We are in search of a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specialized in testing Managed Kubernetes
Services . As an integral member of our Quality Engineering (QE) team, you will employ your technical expertise
and in-depth knowledge of AWS Cloud services (must have) and other CSPs like Azure/GCP & Kubernetes to
design, implement, and manage testing strategies. Your role is crucial in understanding the intricate interactions
between cloud services, identifying potential points of failure, and proactively ensuring our software's reliability
and performance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive test strategy, focusing on managed Kubernetes services, for all Samsung private cloud products
  • Plan and execute tests for cloud services and measure their performance, scalability and reliability
  • Review and troubleshoot cloud service issues, understand their root causes, and provide feedback to the teams
  • Create automation test cases using Python , Terraform and other tools like Packer, k8s client eco tools
  • Ensure test scripts and test data are expanded and updated as new features are implemented Find, isolate, document and track bugs (in Jira) through resolution
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders from Development, Project Management, Product Management, and other QE team members. Proactively seek out and share information with team members
  • Promote test automation in early stages of development

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in Python programming, with hands-on experience using the Pytest framework for developing robust testing solutions.
  • Experience with Go programming is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS services (compute, storage, and networking ) and experience with EKS (must-have) and at least one of GKE or AKS
  • Experience in using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically with Terraform, to automate processes.
  • Proficient in integrating workflow engines such as GitHub Actions for the entire automation pipeline. This includes provisioning infrastructure across multi-cloud CSP managed Kubernetes services
  • Expertise in Kubernetes, thoroughly versed in all its fundamental concepts, and experienced with strategies for multi-cloud environments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members across different time zones and locations.
     

Nice to Have

  • Experience in GitHub actions
  • Proficiency in project management, particularly using Jira
  • Prior experience in collaborating with teams across multi-geographical locations
