Senior Java/Python Developer with AI Skills
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Java first and a little of Python too, who is passionate about building modern, scalable software while leveraging Artificial Intelligence to dramatically improve engineering productivity. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who embraces AI-first software development, automates repetitive engineering tasks, and takes end-to-end ownership of the services they build.
Key ResponsibilitiesSoftware Development
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, cloud-native applications and microservices.
- Develop enterprise applications using Java and Python.
- Build modern cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Design and implement secure RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
- Deliver production-ready software following Agile and DevOps best practices.
AI-First Engineering
- Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve software delivery speed, quality, and consistency.
- Build reusable AI workflows that automate repetitive engineering activities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve developer productivity using AI.
Developer Productivity & Automation
- Develop AI-driven solutions to automate code generation, testing, documentation, debugging, refactoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaboration
- Work closely with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while promoting engineering excellence and AI adoption.
- Core Programming: Strong level in Java, goog knowledge in Python development, Object-Oriented Design, Spring Boot, RESTful API Development.
- Cloud & Data Engineering: Microsoft Azure, Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Delta Lake, SQL and Data Modeling.
- Architecture & Microservices: Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, REST API Design.
- DevOps & Modern SDLC: Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum practices.
- AI-First Software Development: Practical use of AI tools like GitHub Copilot, AI-Assisted Code Generation, Debugging, and Workflow Automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Advanced/fluent English communication skills. (You will work and be interviewed by people who don't speak portuguese)
