Yieldbroker operates the electronic exchange for Australia’s $40 trillion interest rate market. It‘s where banks, asset managers, super funds, insurers, central banks and governments go to trade local debt securities and derivatives.
Yieldbroker is seeking bright, energetic software developers to join the growing software development team. This role will focuses mostly on server side development with some front end elements. For the ideal candidate this is a fantastic opportunity to make a direct impact in a growing company.
Responsibilities
- Implement bug fixes and feature enhancements for the business
- Assist with refactoring and re-engineering legacy code to take advantage of the latest technology platform versions and development techniques
- Provide development support to the business when required
Required Skills and Experience
- Passion for building high quality software
- Strong communications skills and comfortable interacting directly with the business
- Degree in computer science or a related field
- 3+ years strong commercial core Java experience
- Experience with server side frameworks such as Spring Hibernate and Messaging technologies (JMS, Tibco or similar)
- Familiarity with Design Patterns
- Linux environment experience
- Knowledge and experience in automated testing & CI/CD Frameworks
- Previous experience or interest in financial markets highly desirable
Skills Required
