You will join a team with diverse backgrounds and skills including Java, Go and Python developers, data base experts and site reliability engineers.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with an interest in understanding how maps are constructed and the elements that comprise map data. This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain insights into the development process used in large-scale systems, providing you with best practices and skills necessary for creating production-level applications. You will be on site and you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager based in Cluj.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will apply best practices to deliver high-quality code and contribute to the project quality.
• You will work with map data and learn about scalable solutions tailored for map-making applications.
• You will explore working with Databricks and Spark framework we use o build internal maps.
• You will familiarize yourself with deploying and maintaining Java services using Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• You will use AI tools in your daily tasks to enhance productivity and new ideas.
• Availability from July to October 2025, with a commitment of 8 hours daily.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Experience with the Java programming language.
• Grasp of OOP concepts.
• Familiarity with backend API development or building data pipelines (ETL)
• Knowledge of unit testing and mocking frameworks.
• Experience with SQL and Git version control.
• Experience or contact with BigData work is a significant plus.
• Availability from July to October 2025, with a commitment of 8 hours daily.
