Japanese Fact-Checking Annotator (Freelance - Remote)

Are you a native or near-native Japanese speaker with strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail?

We are looking for Japanese Fact-Checking Annotators to join our growing AI data team. This is a remote freelance opportunity for those who enjoy evaluating information, verifying factual accuracy, and contributing to the development of high-quality AI systems.

> What You'll Do

As a Fact-Checking Annotator, you will evaluate user queries and AI-generated responses to ensure they are factually accurate, relevant, and reliable.

Your tasks may include:

• Evaluating AI-generated responses for factual correctness and completeness.
• Verifying claims using reliable sources.
• Identifying misinformation and/or unsupported statements.
• Assessing whether responses are relevant, specific, and up to date.
• Following detailed annotation guidelines while maintaining high quality standards.

> Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese.
• Good English reading comprehension (all guidelines, training materials, and internal communication are in English).
• Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Ability to work independently and follow evolving guidelines.
• Previous experience in annotation, content evaluation, fact-checking, QA, or similar analytical work is a plus.

> Pre-Qualification Process (Unpaid)

To be considered for this project, candidates must successfully complete both of the following qualification tests:

1. Japanese Language Proficiency Test

2. Fact-Checking Qualification Test

Candidates who pass both assessments will be considered for upcoming production opportunities based on project needs.
