Position Summary:

Welbilt is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial & Special Projects Specialist to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role combines daily janitorial responsibilities with deep-cleaning projects, facility upkeep, equipment operation, and occasional support for customer events and hospitality functions.


Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, this full-time position is based in Coppell, TX and requires working a regular schedule of 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. CST, Sunday through Thursday. Candidates must be able to work a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule for training and provide occasional daytime support for special events as needed.


Major Accountability:

  • Facility Cleaning & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional environment throughout offices, restrooms, common areas, breakrooms, demonstration kitchens, and customer-facing spaces.
  • Special Projects & Deep Cleaning: Perform periodic deep-cleaning activities, including kitchen vignettes, equipment displays, exhaust hoods, floor care, and other specialized cleaning projects.
  • Equipment & Facility Upkeep: Safely operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment, support interior and exterior cleanliness, and identify and report maintenance, repair, or safety concerns.
  • Event & Customer Experience Support: Assist with room setups, customer demonstrations, training events, and hospitality activities to ensure the facility is presentation-ready at all times.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize offices, conference rooms, demonstration kitchens, breakrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Vacuum carpets, dust surfaces, empty trash and recycling bins, and replenish facility supplies.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen vignettes, equipment displays, stainless steel exhaust hoods, appliances, and other specialized areas.
  • Perform routine floor care, including sweeping, mopping, and operating floor-cleaning equipment.
  • Maintain building entrances, walkways, and exterior areas using approved tools and equipment.
  • Safely operate commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, shop vacs, floor scrubbers, and power washers.
  • Assist with meeting room setups, customer demonstrations, training events, and special hospitality functions as needed.
  • Identify and report maintenance, repair, and safety concerns.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout the facility.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related commercial janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities maintenance experience required.
  • Experience working in commercial cleaning, hospitality, foodservice, showroom, and customer-facing environments is preferred.
  • Experience operating commercial cleaning equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to quality.
  • Professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with employees and visitors.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.
  • Ability to follow directions, while taking initiative when needed.
  • Consistently operate in a manner that aligns with the Company core values.
  • Must be fluent in English language.
  • Must follow all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements.
  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues promptly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely move cleaning equipment, carts, supplies, and materials.
  • Manual dexterity required to operate cleaning equipment and perform detailed cleaning tasks.
  • Properly use, handle, and store cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed primarily indoors in office, showroom, culinary, training, and event environments.
  • Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, odors, wet surfaces, and varying noise levels.
  • Occasional outdoor work to maintain entrances and surrounding areas.
  • Frequent interaction with employees, customers, vendors, and guests.
  • Evening schedule with occasional flexibility to support business needs and special events.
