In short: you own Italy 🇮🇹
We’re looking for someone who is deeply plugged into Italian culture and curious to their core. The kind of person who always asks “wait, but why do people actually do that?” You’ll be the one figuring out why people in Italy download Bump, why they stay, why they leave, and what makes them tell their friends.
This isn’t a “sit behind a desk and make slides” role. You’ll be out talking to real users, running scrappy experiments, stalking trends (for work, obviously), testing ideas IRL, and bringing everything you learn back to the team so we can build the best possible version of Bump for Italy.
If you love ownership, hate boring days, and want to build something special, keep reading.
You’re ambitious and slightly obsessed with growth.
You need to understand how people think (and will happily ask strangers questions).
You’re always online and always paying attention to what’s happening IRL.
You know how to make content that hits and how to work with creators to make it hit harder.
You know Italian culture, humor, and internet vibes inside out.
You’re comfortable talking to users, creators, and partners face-to-face.
You’re scrappy, you’ll try weird ideas if they might work.
You speak Italian fluently and live in Italy.
You’re happy wearing 10 hats (and switching between them fast).
You don’t wait to be told what to do, you just do it.
Fully owning the Italian market (yes, really).
Talking to users constantly, interviews, testing, casual conversations, you name it.
Figuring out what makes people download Bump, stick around, and tell their friends.
Jumping in to make content yourself and working closely with creators to create great content fast.
Keeping a pulse on everything happening in Italy (online, offline, culturally).
Running Italy-specific experiments to drive growth.
Planning and executing fun, scrappy in-person activations.
Building relationships with Italian creators, communities, and partners.
Helping shape content and creator strategy when needed.
Being the voice of Italy inside the company.
Sharing insights that actually change what we build and how we grow.
Helping take Bump to #1 in Italy, and keeping it there 🏆
1–5+ years doing something relevant (growth, community, content, research, startups, we’re flexible).
A strong instinct for consumer apps and what makes people care.
A high-ownership, “I’ve got this” mindset.
Expereince creating content + managing creators.
Deep familiarity with Italy and how people here actually behave.
Italian fluency (non-negotiable).
You’re based in Italy (also non-negotiable).
Bonus points if you’ve managed talent, worked at a talent agency, or are an influencer yourself with a solid following.
You get real ownership, one country, fully yours.
Your ideas won’t die in a Google Doc.
You’ll see your work directly impact growth.
You get to run experiments most companies would never approve.
You’ll help shape the product, not just market it.
You’ll work with a fast, ambitious, genuinely fun team.
We move fast, learn fast, and celebrate properly 🎉
What We Do
Welcome to amo
The bike rides. The sleepovers. Your first cigarette. Gossiping about your latest crush. Being consoled when they break your heart. Discovering a new city. Re-discovering your own (at 2AM). The hungover brunches. The tears. The laughs. The love.
So many of the moments that shaped us were shared with friends.
And then those moments started happening online. Posting photos from last night’s party. Tagging your latest situationship. Poking your roommate (whatever that means??). It was exciting and well intentioned, but something got lost along the way. The platforms that were built to bring friends closer together became places we go to scroll through videos… of strangers.
We’re entertained, but where did our friends go?
A new kind of social company
We believe that friendship still deserves a place online. Our first app, ID, brought a new take on the social profile, providing a collaborative board for you and your friends to express yourselves on. And our second app, Bump, is the best map for friends — giving you a new home on your phone for the people and places most important to you. With Sugar, chatting with friends goes beyond the confines of a green or blue bubble. Drop whatever you want on an unlimited canvas, turning any conversation into art.
Together, the apps form the beginning of a new kind of social company. One that exists across multiple apps, but only one you. And with many more ideas for new ways to bring you closer to your friends. We’re going to experiment, build, re-build again, and no doubt get lots wrong along the way. But we hope that what we get right earns its place on your home screen — as a new collection of apps that serve you and your friends above all else.
On amo, your profile, friendships, and settings are shared across the apps. Trying a new one takes no time at all as your info (and your friends!) are already waiting for you. When we have new ideas, we won’t be constrained by an ever-growing tab bar and the four corners of just one app. We’ll make something entirely new and give you the choice on whether to use it or not. Take what you need, ignore what you don’t.
We feel a real responsibility when it comes to creating stuff for you and your friends — and doing so the right way. We believe that the company that survives long term in this space is the one that aligns itself closest with your best interests. So to keep ourselves accountable, we developed some principles that guide what we do.
