Location: London - Mon + Fri WFH, Tues, Weds + Thurs office based

The Team

Our Creative Department is a 30+ group of copywriters, art directors, designers and music supervisors, coming from 12 different countries.  About half of this Creative team is dedicated to make Apple's global campaigns (created either by us or our clients) feel local in 10 EMEA markets.

The Role

MAL\London acts as the hub office leading Apples advertising efforts across Europe and the Greater Middle East region. Working in our international team of EMEA Creative Adaptation copywriters and editors, the copywriter will be in charge of localising all global and regional Apple campaigns for the Italian market looking after copy, voice casting and recording, screen supers and video content. The copywriter will also contribute to local amplifications for all Apple products and services.

The Work

Under the supervision of our creative director, you will:

  • Localise all the TV/Digital/Social/Print/OOH work to the highest language and typographic standards
  • Translate, edit, elevate, proofread all copy translated in Italian, for Italy and Italian Switzerland
  • Occasionally create original copy and work on local extensions/activations
  • Be the guardian of Apple’s brand guidelines, check and correct inaccuracies and/or inconsistencies in the use of product names, features or other technical terminology
  • Select voice talents, attend recording sessions and work on the sound design with our audio engineers
  • Work with our Business Affairs team to ensure our legal lines are as clear and succinct as possible
  • Alongside art directors and production teams, attend post-production sessions and set supers, subtitles, legal lines to picture, and approve final audio
  • QC all work across social and digital and social channels before it goes live

Who will thrive in this role? 

  • An experienced copywriter with exposure to premium and/or tech brands
  • Must be fluent in English and native fluent in their market’s language, with strong connections to the culture of their market
  • Advertising agency experience and the highest level of proofing ability
  • A detail-oriented person, passionate about the craft of copywriting
  • A team player who loves other people and cultures, keen to work in a rich and diverse EMEA team
  • Always keen to learn and improve, to explore new tools and artificial intelligent powered solutions
  • A social media expert, keen to tailor copy for each platform
  • Resilient, pressure proof, happy to work in a fast paced, process driven environment
  • Able to travel internationally if and when required
