ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Information Technology Department provides technology tools and support to all employees of Alerus Financial. Installing, configuring and supporting system hardware and software in a multi-site LAN/WAN environment. Strong technical knowledge of enterprise IT systems and best practices with experience implementing and supporting such systems. Must be able to work well within a team environment and independently while being highly organized, self-motivated, goal oriented and skilled at prioritizing and multitasking.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Windows server administration and support.
- Support and management of multi-user operating, network and application systems.
- Infrastructure and process documentation.
- Provide technology recommendations.
- Monitor performance of installed technology.
- Level II/advanced technology operations support.
- On-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Project resource IT/Corporate projects.
- Act as liaison to vendors and professional consultants.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Associate’s degree in IT/Technical degree in system administration or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- 2-5 years of experience performing server administration functions in a LAN/WAN environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems.
- Flexibility with schedule as needed for system maintenance.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to adapt easily to change within a fast paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- High level of self-motivation.
- Keen attention to detail.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is typically performed in an office setting. The employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to move about the office utilizing proper ergonomic safeguards when doing so.
