Job Scope
We are seeking a Full-Time IT Support Specialist for our Piscataway, NJ office. This role is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and supporting daily IT operations.
In addition to core IT support responsibilities, this position plays an important role in IT asset management, including coordinating device lifecycle processes and maintaining accurate inventory records to support business operations.
Reporting to: US IT Operations Manager
Job Location: Piscataway, NJ (Fully Onsite)
Compensation: The starting base salary is estimated to be $55,000
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues from users in a timely manner.
- Provide first and second-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of IT issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate team.
- Support both onsite and remote employees with IT-related requests.
- IT Asset Management:
- Support the day-to-day management of IT assets, including laptops, desktops, and accessories.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track asset status throughout the lifecycle.
- Assist with device provisioning, deployment, return, and reallocation.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes by preparing and recovering IT equipment.
- Coordinate the procurement, deployment, reuse, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
- Collaboration & Project Support:
- Work closely with the internal team to implement new technologies and system improvements.
- Support IT projects, including system migrations, upgrades, software rollouts, and infrastructure optimization.
- Document IT processes and contribute to knowledge base articles for future reference.
Experiences & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- ~1 year of experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, and common business applications.
- Experience with IT troubleshooting tools and remote support software.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts, Active Directory, and IT security best practices is a plus.
- Prefer Bilingual (English, Mandarin).
