Position Description:
PingWind is seeking an IT support specialist to work on a non-personal services contract to support the Fort Jackson Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program (SFL-TAP) at Fort Jackson, Columbia SC. Hired individual’s work involves the planning, analysis, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and / or management of networked systems used for the transmission of information in voice, data, and / or video formats.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Analyze and define network requirements
• Define and maintain office network architecture and infrastructure
• Analyze network workload/access by running internet speed tests
• Diagnose and resolve network problems
• Ensure all SFL center computer systems stay on the network and in compliance with Army/base requirements
• Install, test, maintain, and upgrade network operating system software
• Work with base communications center to get office computers fixed and loaded with approved software
• Ensure the rigorous application of information security / information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of network services
• Provide assistance to soldiers/staff, troubleshoots all problems, and provide support to the customer with minimal disruption to normal business activities. First responder and chief point of contact for all submitted IT work orders.
• Reports weekly workload reports and work order status to the contracting officer representative
• Serve as the Workstation Administrator (WA) for the SFL-TAP Information Technology Systems
Required Qualifications:
• An IAT level I certification
• Minimum three (3) years of Helpdesk/IT experience
• Must have excellent written and verbal skills
• Must have excellent customer service skills
Desired Skills:
• Microsoft Certifications
• Audio Visual Projector experience
• WIFI troubleshooting experience
