Summary
The IT Support Specialist assists the IT Director in supporting and maintaining the company’s technical operations, systems, and equipment, empowering company personnel for productivity. The IT Support Specialist provides direct support to all AxisCare departments, manages hardware asset inventory, and assists with IT administration in compliance with company policies.
Responsibilities
Operations
- Provide technical support to employees; troubleshoot and investigate issues to identify solutions
- Assist in the appropriate and timely provisioning/deprovisioning of user identities and accounts in coordination with HR
- Assist in technology procurement and deployment; maintain current inventory of technology assets and manage scheduled replacement cycle
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new staff, ensuring a smooth transition
- Provide training and education to employees to enhance operational efficiency and utilization of systems and equipment
- Coordinate with IT Director to maintain IT stack for identity and endpoint management; configure, and update corporate device policies to manage vulnerabilities
- Assist in administration of local network and equipment at company headquarters in Waco
- Assist IT Director in strategic technology resource planning
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Collaborate with IT Director to evaluate and mitigate security risks and ensure business continuity
- Monitor controls to ensure compliance with relevant security requirements including HIPAA and SOC-2
- Document compliance and participate in periodic compliance and security reviews
- Assist in creating and updating IT policies
Software Management
- Collaborate with departments to understand maximize value and ROI on technology investments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance connectivity between systems while protecting data integrity
IT Support Specialist Requirements
- Strong customer service attitude and a genuine desire to help others
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Excellent listening skills
- Experience supporting devices and peripherals running on Windows, OSX, Android, and iOS (preferred)
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Proficient navigating computer software programs
- Proficient in written and verbal communication, with ability to type quickly (40+ WPM preferred)
- Ability to receive honest and candid feedback about work performance
- Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
Education:
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience (Preferred)
Experience:
- Help desk: 1 year (Preferred)
- Windows: 1 year (Preferred)
Job Type, Schedule & Location
- Full-time (40+ hours per week) Monday-Friday in person in the Waco office
