What You'll Do...
- Complies with departmental policies.
- Maintains attendance with no unexcused absences.
- Maintains attendance for scheduled meetings with no unexcused absences.
- Projects image of professional competence.
- Complies and promotes the WRHS dress code.
- Completes required education fairs, employee forums, talking points, and any other hospital in-services.
- Displays positive attitude.
- Respond to user calls, work orders and emails.
- Adhere to standardization.
- Perform preventative maintenance on computer equipment throughout WRMC.
- Required to call technical support when issues arise.
- Document all work in help desk software.
- Cover the help desk phone and log into system and take calls when they are available.
- Responsible for the installation of computer hardware/software.
- Setup, configure and install all new computers, laptops, etc.
- Must be able to reformat and refurbish computers.
- Use imaging software to deploy computer images.
- Upgrade hardware and software as needed.
- Notify License Coordinator of all installed software – computer name must be given as well.
- Install network printers using TCP/IP.
- Create and maintain knowledge base articles for hardware/software best practices.
- Support all mobile devices including but not limited to iPods, iPads, handhelds, tablets, etc.
What does a successful candidate look like?
- Prefer background in Information Systems.
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in Computer Operations and computer hardware/software
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to learn new equipment quickly.
- Current knowledge of operating systems is helpful.
- Must be able to effectively use a keyboard or equivalent device.
- Must be conscientious and dedicated.
- Must be able to train users effectively.
- Must display a sense of urgency when dealing with user tasks.
- Must be able to report to work fit for duty and free of any adverse effects of illegal drugs, medical marijuana, prescription medication, and/or alcohol.
- Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with other individuals.
Details
- Pay: +$15/hour
- Schedule: 40-hour week: typically 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday-Friday
- Length of Internship: 3 months
- Location: On-Site in Batesville, AR
