We are looking for an IT Support Specialist (2nd Line) to support critical in-house logistics and manufacturing systems used on production lines in the automotive industry. The role focuses on ensuring system availability, troubleshooting incidents, and supporting business-critical applications that control material flow and production supply in real time.
Responsibilities
Provide Level 2 application and system support for inhouse logistics and manufacturing systems
Monitor, analyze, and resolve incidents in QS and PROD environments
Support systems used on assembly lines to ensure timely and accurate material delivery
Analyze system behavior based on configuration, thresholds, and production signals
Troubleshoot client-server applications running on Linux and Windows environments
Work closely with internal IT teams, production, and logistics stakeholders
Support deployments, configuration changes, and system stability initiatives
Participate in on-call rotation from 16:00, year-round
Must-have requirements
Experience in IT Support Level 2 (application or system support)
Troubleshooting skills in Linux-based server environments
Experience working with databases (Oracle 19c is used on this project)
Understanding of client-server concepts
Fluent German and English (spoken and written)
Experience with Apache Web Server
Nice-to-have requirements
Experience in manufacturing, production, or logistics environments
Familiarity with industrial or production-related applications
Experience supporting systems in high-availability or 24/7 environments
