WHAT YOU’LL DO
As an IT Support Engineer, you will provide technical assistance and support to our employees and play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and addressing technical issues promptly and effectively. This position requires a strong troubleshooting mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Provide technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for employees.
- Helpdesk assistance: Respond to support tickets and inquiries, providing timely and accurate resolutions.
- Problem diagnosis and resolution: Isolate problems, determine root causes, and take necessary steps to resolve issues efficiently.
- User training and guidance: Assist employees with technology-related questions, provide guidance on software usage, and offer basic technical training as needed.
- Software and hardware deployment: Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software applications, as well as the setup and deployment of computer hardware for new hires.
- System monitoring and maintenance: Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and security.
- Documentation and knowledge sharing: Maintain accurate records of support activities, document troubleshooting steps, and contribute to knowledge base articles for internal reference.
GREAT TO HAVE
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of technical support experience.
- Solid understanding of corporate desktop computing environment, including hardware, software, operating systems, and utilities.
- Proficient in both Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Experience in remote support for local and remote offices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Client Products (Windows 10/11, Office 365 Apps), Microsoft Management Products (MS Server, Active Directory, Office 365, Exchange, Windows Deployment Services), Apple Products (MacOS, iOS).
- Additional knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Okta, Jamf, Atlassian Cloud, Dropbox, and Mimecast is a plus.
- Occasional travel to headquarters in Orange County required.
- Open to travel to remote offices on an as needed basis

Compensation
- Base compensation range: $55,600 - $69,500
- In accordance with California law, the range provided is Viant’s reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. Final title and compensation for the position will be based on several factors including work experience and education.
