The Role

The Opportunity

Join our Trimark Operations Center (TOC) as a Support Engineer to provide end-to-end customer service for utility scale, renewable power generation SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) Systems.  You will interface directly with our clients to troubleshoot and collaborate with our engineering and technology teams to resolve complex issues.

The Team

You will report to our TOC Support Manager and work with our growing bi-coastal team of 5-10 engineers and support staff, as well as collaborate across the organization with our technology, engineering, and business development teams.

The Environment

This is a bi-coastal, office-based team in our Folsom, CA office.  You will work in a controlled office environment with an onsite team, as well as virtually with our bi-coastal team members. 

Growth & Development

As a part of our TOC team, you will be providing support to over 1,400 power generation resources for North America, working with a variety of engineering specialties from across the industry both in-house and externally to keep our electrical grid running smoothly. The TOC will utilize the IT skills you have currently, grow said skills, and provide the support & staff needed to diversify or specialize your skillset; whether your focus is in Database Structure, Networking, Hardware Configuration, SCADA, Coding, or even Electrical Engineering.

Your Key Contributions

  • Prevent, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
  • Maintain & advocate for existing client relationships
  • Effectively manage client expectations
  • Maintain documentation for all activities related to client questions and resolutions
  • Manage incoming inquiries via phone and email
  • Work with other technical teams to resolve client issues and requests.

Traits for Success

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience working in customer service, preferably in a call center or help desk environment
  • Knowledge of IT & troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Knowledge of networking principles such as the OSI model, common protocols, and their interactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint (or other CRM)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • A desire to learn and grow professionally and personally
  • BONUS: Knowledge of CAISO requirements
  • BONUS: Associate degree in Computer Science, Networking or related field; or technical certifications

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to Level II job levels.  The base pay range for this position is $27.50-33.50/hour, with starting salary typically in the low to mid-range for the job level.  This is an overtime Non-Exempt position.  Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications.  This is a Full Time opportunity.
