Job Description
We’re seeking a Support Associate to join our IT team, focusing on effective technical solutions through dynamic customer service. This role is responsible for supporting our growing organization’s technology needs.
The Support Associate serves as diagnostician and solution provider for technology solutions. They are responsible for providing technical expertise in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and incorporating industry best practices into daily activities.
Our ideal candidate is an action-oriented, hard-working team player who can jump in and support staff from a variety of angles. This position requires excellent communication and writing skills as well as the ability to balance priorities and shift focus on the go. A passion for renewable energy is a must!
Your primary responsibilities as a Support Associate include:
- Manage Helpdesk tickets in a timely manner
- Respond to employee technology issues in person and by phone, email, video conferencing, and computer chat
- Provide technical support to the organization with hardware, software, cloud apps, and network systems
- Document customer interactions through communication that took place during solution of ticket or user problem
- Run diagnostics to resolve customer reported issues
- Escalate issues to tier 2 professionals as needed
- Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software
- Follow-up with employees to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner
Qualifications
To succeed as a Support Associate at Apex Clean Energy, you’ll need to excel within the following criteria:
- Excellent critical thinking, communication skills, and troubleshooting mentality
- Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems (Windows 10, 11, Server 2012R2+) and Office suite (Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint / OneNote)
- Ability to diagnose and resolve computer technical issues
- Proficiency with mobile operating systems (iOS, iPadOS, Android)
- Effective documentation skills to maintain detailed ticket information and creation of reference material that guides peers through processes
- A+ / Network+ / other similar IT professional certifications
- Demonstrated interest/passion for renewable energy required
