Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud network infrastructure across on-premises, AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Configure and manage routing, switching, firewalls, and network technologies including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, and STP.
- Build and maintain secure site-to-site and remote-access VPNs using IPsec, WireGuard, OpenVPN, or similar technologies.
- Manage network security, including segmentation, ACLs, IDS/IPS, zero-trust access, and hardening.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity, latency, throughput, and packet-loss issues.
- Automate network configuration and infrastructure using Python, Bash, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Implement monitoring and alerting using tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, SNMP, and NetFlow.
- Ensure network resilience through capacity planning, redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery.
- Maintain documentation and runbooks, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Systems teams.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, and enterprise networking.
- Hands-on experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VXLAN, STP, and enterprise firewalls.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure networking.
- Strong understanding of network security and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and iperf.
- Experience with automation and IaC using Python, Bash, Terraform, and/or Ansible.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, PRTG, Grafana, SNMP, or NetFlow.
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Relevant networking or cloud certifications are a plus.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 1 year of experience in IT support or a similar role
- Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, IMAP servers, and productivity tools
- Understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
